Olaplex at Purdy and Power.
Purdy and Power now work with Olaplex. Olaplex is going to make your hair stronger, healthier looking and your colour will last longer.
What is Olaplex?
Olaplex is the greatest innovation in professional hair colour services since cream colour.
Olaplex is as a ‘Bond Multiplier’, which limits damage to hair during and after all colouring services.
Olaplex has a single active ingredient, designed to reconnect the Disulphide Sulphur bonds broken by the process of hair colouring, lightening and thermal styling.
Go beyond the surface with the only salon system that rebuilds broken hair bonds.
What does Olaplex do?
Olaplex is the only product on the market that actually repairs the bonds from within.
All of the others are temporary conditioning services.
The active ingredient in Olaplex is a compound called Bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate.
The top pictures shows broken disulphide bonds, the bottom one depicts the Olaplex reforming the bonds.
This technology is exclusive to Olaplex.
No other product works like Olaplex.
All other products are deep conditioners, not bond multipliers.
No other company can make a product like this until the patent runs out.
Don’t be fooled by copycat products.
Olaplex is the original and the best!
Only the best ingredients:
No fillers or nasty’s included.
Olaplex is free of silicone, sulphates, phthalates, DEA, aldehydes, gluten and is never tested on animals.
The Olaplex range:
No. 1 is the concentrate, to be added to colouring / bleaching products or into water for stand alone treatment.
No. 2 is a creamy 15% solution of No. 1. It is applied after a colour has been processed and is then rinsed off.
No. 3 is a creamy 12.5% solution of No. 1. This is the retail element of the service for your clients to take home.
For hair that is too compromised to process with colour or bleach, it is recommend the Olaplex stand alone treatment is carried out once or twice prior to a service. Then progress with colour application with added Olaplex.
Olaplex can also be used as a stand alone treatment on any hair type at any time as the ultimate salon treatment.
Results really speak for themselves after a stand alone treatment.
Mix your colour or bleach as you would do normally.
Measure out, as accurately as possible, the required amount of Olaplex No. 1 (The amount required will be covered in the following slides.)
Pour the Olaplex into the mixing bowl.
Now apply colour or bleach as normal.
Stand alone treatment:
90ml of warm water to 15ml of No. 1 Olaplex.
Apply with applicator bottle.
Use drip tray.
Leave for 5 minutes
Then apply 5-10mls of Olaplex number 2 (dependant on hair length)
Leave of 10-20 minutes – Rinse / Shampoo and Condition
After No. 1 always use No. 2 after Colour Treatment
After processing, rinse and apply Olaplex No. 2.
The following amounts are recommended:
5ml/teaspoon for short to medium hair
10ml/2 teaspoons for longer hair
Apply evenly as you would a conditioner
Once applied, comb through and leave in for 10-20 minutes
Rinse / shampoo and condition
Use the time while No. 2 is on to cut the hair if you want, it’s a fabulous cutting lotion.
It’s important to remember if you wouldn’t treat the hair without Olaplex, we don’t recommend you treat with it.
Use your best judgment as you normally would when determining if hair is strong enough for the service you are performing.
If you are in doubt perform stand alone treatments prior to lightening service to help strengthen and prep the hair.
Explain to your client you are now offering a “Colour Service Upgrade”
Now you can take the magic of Olaplex home with you.
How to use No. 3 Olaplex
Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector 100 ml: RRP £32.00.
By using Olaplex Hair Perfector at home, you can continue to help strengthen your hair and rebuild broken bonds, helping to maintain the structure, integrity, softness and shine leading up to your next service at the Purdy and Power.
Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector is NOT a conditioner.
Before shampooing, wet hair, towel dry hair and then apply a generous amount, we recommend about 2 teaspoons
Leave for a minimum of 10-20 minutes. If hair is compromised, longer is recommended. (Why not sleep in it like Kim Kardashian)
